"So now it's the turn of the Maulanas to act sanctimonious."

"Hey just think what you are saying! I mean really! If the Maulanas don't act sanctimonious then who in the world can be legitimately allowed to act sanctimonious. And don't answer that by saying priests, rabbis, Hindu priests."

"I wasn't going to. But in our country only the power-that-be can act sanctimonious? And that means one man."

"Or one woman. BB was a one woman power-that-be at one time."

"Ah those days are long gone."

"Indeed. Nothing in life remains the same. Mutability is what we all have to live with, isn't that what Shelly the poet said!"

"So the Maulanas are saying that BB has made a deal and AZ's release is part of that deal."

"That does make sense."

"They are also saying that BB wants all cases against her dropped so that she can become the PM."

"That is possible because after all the Chosen One is dispensable. But personally I don't think she will want to become the PM with a President wearing the uniform because then she is obviously demoted to the position of a factotum."

"So what do you think will happen?"

"She may give the job to someone else."

"Not AZ! Doesn't do well to give him that kind of clout."

"No I don't think so either. I think it would be a weakling who she can completely control."

"So she still would not have learned the basic lesson in politics: that once empowered even a weakling learns how to roar."

"They never do learn."

"The Maulanas say that BB when made PM will accept Musharraf in uniform for life."

"That will happen with or without BB I think."

"Indeed."
